(Laura Bell McDaneld) ANGELL 1863- <http://iagenweb.org/boards/allamakee/obituaries/index.cgi?rev=149233> AUTHOR: Mary Durr DATE: 3/6/2007 at 10:04:45 Surnames: WORRELL,MCDANELD,ANGELL Mrs. Laura Angell Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Schutte Funeral Home for Mrs. Laura Angell, 87, who passed away at a nursing home in Waukon last Saturday evening. The rites were conducted by Rev. W. T. Martin of the Community Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Angell had been a lifelong resident of this community with the exception of the past several years when she stayed in the nursing home. Laura Bell McDaneld, daughter of A. W. and Mary Worrell McDaneld, was born November 8, 1863 at Marion, Linn county. She came with her parents to Postville in March, 1865. On November 8, 1879 she was married to Herbert D. Angell. To this union a daughter Myra was born. Mrs. Angell had been living with Mrs. Carlson at Waukon for the past four years and it was here that she passed away on June 3. She was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church of Postville. Mrs. Angell is survived by her daughter, Myra Angell. Postville Herald newspaper clipping from my mother's obituary collection.
