Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/4Yk.2ACIB/1141 Message Board Post: I am trying to find a family for ALICIA JULIA HYDE, who claims on her husband JOHN HENRY GALVIN's civil war pension that she was born in Steubenville, Ohio on October 17, 1844. I have been unable to find her in any census before her marriage in 1866. Alicia's death certificate lists her mother as LAURA CAMPBELL, although this may be wrong. Alicia had a photo album full of pictures taken in Steubenville, some of the names in it include HOWARD AULT, MATTIE TAYLOR, LETITIA, and CATE BURNETT. It has always been the family tradition that Alicia's husband, JOHN GALVIN was an Irish famine orphan who was adopted by his wife's people, an English family named Hyde. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you !
