I located him as living in Oauchita Parish, Louisiana in 1850 with his wife, Millie (Cherry) who was shown as born in 1826 in Tennessee. They had a big farmily--Benjamin (Called BJ), Theodore, Frances, Nicey, Squire, Charles, Henry, William and Jasper and Newton (Twins). BJ and Theo moved to Texas around 1870 and eventually ended up in Kerr County, Texas. Theo Hyde was my g-grandfather. I have not been able to find anything about Millie (Cherry?) but I think she was his second wife as on the 1850 census a couple of the children were too old to be hers. Hope this helps.
