My gggrandfather moved to Texas from Louisiana in 1870, but his family was originally from Tennesse. His grandfather was John Henry Hyde. The article I read was in the Houston Chronicle several years ago. I'm sorry, I wasn't really interested in geneaology then, so I didn't get the name, but you may be able to find it on the Houston Chronicle archives. Thanks, Anne
