    3. June, I was just putting away my papers when I spotted this snippet:- Sir Robert Hyde, 1595-1665, of Heale, Salisbury, 2nd. son of Lawrence. Salisbury [eight miles east of Dinton] features as King Charles' H.Q. based at Heale House, three miles out of Salisbury. Katherine, described as a'a worthy, discrete loyal Lady' was the widow of Col. George Gunter,the First Cousin of Edward, Earl of Clarendon. She was also the Sister-in-Law to the Mrs. Hyde of Heale House and, Lawrence Hyde was her nephew. Lawrence Hyde was Earl of Rochester, First Lord of the Treasury, and made Lord Lieutenant of Ireland 1700. Master of the Robes to Charles 11, made Baron Hyde of Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire as well as Viscount Hyde of Kenilworth, Warwickshire. Marr. Henrietta Boyle. He was also the brother of Edward Earl of Clarendon. Sue
