Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4Yk.2ACIB/330.546 Message Board Post: I think I can help you out a little. Your John's father was probably John Hyde, born 1790 in England, He married Catherine Robinson there and then immigrated to Canada, and by 1850 was in Sanilac Co. Michigan, Their children were George, Lorinda,Tom,Mary,Betsey,John,Edward,Almond(my great grandfather). Last year in london, I tried to find John and Catherine, but records are scarce before 1837. I did find a couple of Johns born in 1790 and plan to go to their villages this year to see what records might be there. Interesting note - Catherine lived to be 106 years old - I have a photo of her.

Last year in London, I found 2 John Hydes born in 1790, and a Catherine Robinson born in 1794, but no records to connect either John to Catherine, or to indicate whether either is our John. This year I hope to go to their villages to check local records (most records before 1837 are not centralized in London). The Johns' villages are Upton Warren in Worcestershire and Dinedor in Herefordshire - they are about 20 miles apart.
