Hi. I am researching the line of John Thomas Hutchcraft, who was my great grandfather. I am looking for info regarding his death, which may have been about 1955. According to family story, he was beaten, robbed, and left to die. He was found and taken to the hospital, but he did die. There was, I believe, a hearing into the death, but I don't know what came of it, nor do I know who was responsible for his death. John Thomas Hutchcraft married Clara Daniels March 9, 1908 in Wayne County, Ill. They had several children, William, Tom, Walter, Charles, Elmer, Veda, and Maggie. There is also an Ira, but I was told that he was the son of Clara from a previous relationship she had. The parents of John Thomas Hutchcraft were John Thomas Hutchcraft sr., and Christina Hutchcraft. John Thomas sr. parents were Thomas Hutchcraft and Phoebe Farmer, while Christina Hutchcrafts parents were Elijah Hutchcraft and Elizabeth Rhodes. Can someone tell me how Christina was related to the family through her father? Any other info on anybody listed here would be appreciated.
