In 1850 Hamilton County IL Census I find (finally) a George Daily (Daly) age 38 M b. KY shoe maker wife, Rebecca 41 F b KY This George would be born about 1811...is it same George Daily that married Mary Charlotte Crisel Hutchcraft Daily in 1856 in Hamilton County? Age and birth location match. If so, what might have happened to Rebecca Daily between 1850 census and 1856 marriage in HCI? Also, this George Daly/Daily does not seem to fit in with any of the other Daily's in HCI and surrounding counties of that era. Gail Hutchcraft [email protected] Ford County, Il volunteer

We come from: Eli S. Willis (b. 1822 IL) and Harriett Gatland/Gatlin Willis (b. abt 1828 IL) Their daughter, Celia Willis m. Wm. Harrison Hutchcraft, b. 1849 HCI son of John and Mary Charlotte Crisel Hutchcraft. John Hutchcraft disappeared, was divorced by Mary Charlotte in 1855 in HCI and she remarried to George Daily in 1858. She had a second son by John Hutchcraft , Charlie Hutchcraft b. abt 1851 that also seems to have vanished. Some say he died young? We are pretty sure, our John Hutchcraft was son of Reuben and Fannie Hedges Hutchcraft and born in Bourbon Co. KY 1824 - went back to KY (when he disappeared from Il. in 1851-1854 and divorced from Mary Charlotte in 1855) and married Mary Jones in 1856 in KY and lived and died in Texas. We cannot proove this theory yet; but photo's, family names and timing are all TOO close to ignore.
