Dear Fellow Listers, (If you've already received this message recently, I apologise but, for some reason, I stopped receiving the HUNTER-L or HUNTER-D messages. Hopefully, all is OK now... I would appreciate any responses being re- posted. Thanks.) I've come to a brick wall (as we all do!) in my search for a HUNTER ancestor. Charles HUNTER - born in Kendal, Westmorland, England on 30.1.1875, son of William and Elizabeth HUNTER - is reputed to have emigrated to Canada. This has been passed down to me through two generations, so I don't know if it's actually true or the date he sailed. I would guess that it could probably have been between 1890 and 1920. Has anyone any suggestions of data sources to track his possible sailing and subsequent home in Canada?
