My name is Donald Hunter. My GGGrandfather (William) Ephraim Hunter B. 1777 in Anson Co. Owned land in the SW Reedy Branch of Jones Creek of PeeDee River. Some of this area was owned by William Hunter sr. of Richmond/Anson Co. His wife was Sarah Elizabeth Crocker b. 1779. I am interested in information on William Hunter, SR. and Capt. William Hunter and James Hunter who lived in Richmond Co. They all owned land in Richmond/Anson Co. as well as in Marlboro Co.,SC. I am trying to find if any are related to William Ephraim Hunter and his two brothers Elijah and Elisha(died in Green Co.,AL early 1836). Since they sometimes use their middle names,(I suspect that one or more had a middle of Elijah) William sr.,Capt. William, and James Hunter. There is alot of literature on some of these gentleman somewhere. I am not the only one interested. All these seem to have had alot of daughters and I have seen alot of marriages in Anson/Richmond Co. in 1800-1805. Marrying into Covington,Bostick,LaFeavor,Crocker, and several others. I seen recent inqueries on several women who were married in this area with Hunter as last name and getting married in the time frame far mentioned.
