    3. I'm looking for the origins of Thomas Hunter, born 1752, supposedly in Rockingham County, Fairfax Parish, Ireland, which doesn't exist. His first two sons were named John and Alexander. and I have reason to believe his family (he married his first wife, Elizabeth Kyle before coming to America) lived in Virginia at least briefly after leaving Belfast in 1787 or 1788, and before moving to Ohio. Is there any mention of a Thomas in this famly? The Fairfax-John-Alexander connections are intriguing to me. . . Bob Hunter

    3. Elizabeth, Thanks, but I know where Rockingham County is. I suspect that that somebody in the late 19th century got the fact that the family LIVED in Rockingham County, at least briefly, with idea that Thomas was born there (and since they knew he was born in Ireland, it had to be in Ireland). That probably explains the Fairfax in some, too. Unfortunately, I haven't found any reference to him there either. . . Bob
