I have a Wm. Hunter in Ohio...have been unable to go further back nor do I have information on siblings; are you able to help? Wm. HUNTER (b. 6 Sept. 1810) m. Jemima MEEK(S) 11 Nov. 1830 WayneTwn., Clermont Co., Ohio. They had the following children: Mathias, John, George W., Louisa, Mary Ann, Willford, William Morris, Caroline Frances, Harriet, and William Alfred. According to book that son, George, wrote; the HUNTERs had fought in the Revolutionary War. NOTES: "In the early 1800's the William Hunter family lived in Clearmont County, Ohio. He and his wife, Jemima Meek Hunter had a family of ten children. Two of the children died at an early age. Mr. Hunter's occupation was a blacksmith. During the gold rush in California, Hunter, his wife and eight children started across the plains in the spring of 1852. They traveled in two covered wagons with six oxen and twelve cows with provisions to last six months. They joined an emigrant train of 50 wagons near Council Bluffs on the Missouri River. ......"
