    1. [HUNTER-L] Re: HUNTER-WALKER
    2. Dear Lynne and Hunter List, The HUNTER name is often linked with WALKER. "The Hunter Family, 1707-1912" Film #0987076 & other sources: Andrew HUNTER m: Adalaine WALKER abt 1810, She is reputed to be a "minister's daughter" but no name was given. Thomas H. HUNTER, bro. of Andrew, married Margaret H. WALKER dau. of John WALKER & Rosanna BLACK (m: 1791) who have another dau. Rosemma Amelia WALKER who marries a Thomas HUNTER (son of ?) 22 Feb 1832 in Mecklenburg Co., NC. These are named in John WALKER' s will Film 0019302 BkE Pg 185 (abstract) I, JOHN WALKER, of the county of Mecklenburg & state of North Carolina... my son, John WALKER, my daughter Margaret H. HUNTER, my granddaughter, AGNES..., my daughter, CAROLINE, my daughter ROSANNA AMELIA HUNTER, my daughter MARY HUTCHINSON, my son WILLIAM, my wife ROSANNA, my grandson JOHN HUNTER: Dated: 20 Jun 1833 Signed Wm Black, John Walker I show Andrew and Thomas as the sons of Henry HUNTER b: 1751 and his wife, Martha. One common thread is the name "STANHOPE" used exclusively (as far as I can tell) by WALKER descendants. AGNES is also the name used by my Winna for her first born daughter. I believe that filling in these families will help me to eventually sort this out. Thank you so much, Dianna German Anderson
