Brenda, we need more information. Have you tried the 1880 Census? Go to the Soundex first if you don't know the location. Find them there and you will find out were and when they were born. Go back to the 1850 Census to possibly find them as children (depending on birth dates). Someone that recent is fairly easy to find. If you are fairly new at genealogy, the majority of the 1890 Census was destroyed (only the 1890 Veterans Census generally remains).
