Hi Richard, Maybe we did talk before? I have an Ephraim WALKER married to Louisa PATTERSON. Ephraim would be my Winna's nephew. I show Robert PATTERSON and Isabella BARBER as the parents of Louisa. This is from another researcher: [email protected] (Robert Patterson) To: [email protected] Looking for information on any of the following Patterson ancestors. James Patterson came down the Great Wagon Rd. from PA into NC abt 1760's and, after stopping briefly in Charlotte, settled on the South Fork of Crowder's Creek. Brothers Arthur and John came as well. James married Sarah Fleming and later Jean ?. James had the following children:Alexander (md. Sarah Wells), John (md. Mary Henderson), Robert (md. Isabella Barber in 1793 he died 1818 and is my ancestor), Martha, Elizabeth, Jean and Agnes. Robert md. Isabella Barber (dau. of John Barber and Sarah Martin) in 1793 and had the following children: John B. (b. 1803 and md. Frances McCully of York Co., SC in 1826), Sarah (b. 1795 md. John Hill), Mary (b.1801 md. Elias Jackson), Catherine (md. James Adams), Eliza (or Elizabeth md. John B. Adams), Jane (md. Mr. Davis), James (died intestate before 1833), Rev. William (md. Ms. Chambers) So far I am without a clue as to my immigrant ancestor. Cannot get beyond Winna WALKER b: 1795. So frustrating! Her father HAS to be either Benjamin m: Margery CATHEY or John m: unknown as they are the only two WALKER's in Lincoln County, NC at the time of Winna's birth & childhood. I opted for John as Benjamin "disappears" from Lincoln county around 1810 and because Benjamin has a daughter named Susanna in 1795. Thank you for your response, Dianna
