In Mecklenburg Co., NC Andrew HUNTER was married to Adalaine WALKER abt 1810 and they name a son, STANHOPE. Thomas HUNTER, brother of Andrew married 1810 Margaret H. WALKER and they also name a son, STANHOPE. In Lincoln Co., NC Winnaford WALKER married 1821 Samuel CLIFTON and they name a son, STANHOPE. AND a John WALKER married an Elizabeth HUNTER 9 May 1751 Albemarle Co., VA My line is connected to William WALKER & Elizabeth CLIFTON (Sussex/Surry Co. VA and Wake Co., NC) and Winnaford WALKER and Samuel CLIFTON. (Lincoln Co., NC) Samuel is the nephew of Elizabeth and William. I do not yet know how or to whom my Winnaford is connected, but STANHOPE is a family name used by her and her descendants and by quite a few other WALKER and HUNTER lines.
