Just to stir up the pot...I met up with some nice British girls(ATS) at the Washington USOduring WW2..They said,when introductions were made "why,you're one of us" At the time I was pursuaded that I was Scotch-Irish and proceeded to tell them so.Their reply,"there's no such thing.The bloods won't match".They were partly right.However,with a scottish father and an irish mother, I feel that "scot-irish" is acceptable.
