Hi All, Since the subject seems to be William Hunter, I figured I'd post even though I'm not currently working on this branch. My great grandfather was also a William. His full name is William Clarke Hunter. He was born Jul 1864 in Philadelphia, Pa. Both of his parents came from Ireland (according to census records & family history). I don't know his parents' names or where in Ireland they came from. I don't know if there were any siblings. It is possible that his mother's name may have been Jane. I did Jane & William Hunter (mother & son) listed in Philadelphia on the 1880 census. This is the only William I could find that was the correct age to be my William. But, like I said, that's only a maybe. William married Ellen Jane Warden at the Memorial Church of the Holy Comforter Protestant Episcopal church, 1619 Christian Street, Philadelphia on 5 JUN 1899. William & Ellen had 4 children: 1)William Clarke Hunter Jr. b.16 APR 1900 in Philadelphia, d. MAR 1967 in Atlantic City, NJ 2)Helen W. (Hunter) Tilton b. 1901 in Philadelphia, d.1963 in NJ 3)Florence E. Hunter b. 1903 in Philadelphia, d. 1937 in Atlantic City(?), NJ 4)Raymond Thomas Hunter b. 1 DEC 1906 in Philadelphia, Pa., d. 22 JAN 1964 in Pleasantville, NJ (my grandfather) We're nor quite positive about Ellen's maiden name. She is listed as Warden on her marriage certificate, and as Bayden on my grandfather's birth certificate. If this William sounds familiar or belongs to anyone else, please let me know. I have alot of info on his descendants I can pass along.
