Hi Jim. My GGGG Grandfather, Col. James Hunter, Jr. was born in Patrick Co., VA on 8 Apr 1740 and died in 1820 in NC. His father was James Hunter who married a ___?___ Martin. I have no information on them. I'd like to see your page, but the link below doesn't work. I have a James Hunter, circa 1805, S.C. - ca 1885, TN. Rumored to be a Jr. His father died, his mother remarried, he left for TN and never went back. He said he was born in S.C. I am grasping at straws for his parents. He left home as far as I can gather about 1820. My Hunters settled in Barren Co. and Hart Co., KY after migrating from supposedly E. Tenn. in the late 1700s. The earliest I have is my 4GGrandfather, James A. Hunter, b. 1813 in Barren Co., KY. He married Eliza Woodall, we think, who was probably born in E. Tenn. I have a brickwall with James also.
