Processioners Orders in Elizabeth Co., VA 1763 includes John Hunter. VA Genealogical Mag. Alexander, John and Jane Hunter came to America from Ireland about 1730. They had moved to County Antrim, Irl from Scotland where they left one sister. Have no documentation. John Hunter in Bedford Co., VA 1754-61 according to court records. Probably there much longer, need to get in my paper records. A John Hunter came from Scotland and settled near Fredricksburg, VA. Married Henrietta Davidson. Old Presbyterian Church in Appomattox Co., VA. John and Alexander Hunter witnessed will and did inventory of John Carson 28 Sep 1762. Am guessing John Carson wife was related to Alex and John. John Hunter land adjoined Alexander Hunter in Bedford Co., VA.
