Yea!! After months of searching, I finally have my great-grandfather. (I cheated, I hired a research firm). Here is what I have: 1880 Census Yell Co, Arkansas James S. Hunter age 25 born TN Malisie A. age 24 born TN Emma? A. age 6 born AR John W. age 4 born AR (my grandfather who died young leaving 4 orphaned children) Madora age 1 born AR (great-uncle who raised my father and his siblings- he died in 1937 and we did not know he was a twin) Senore age 1 born AR Francis Brasherse age 57 born TN (mother-in-law) Francis Freeman age 13 born TN (niece) Thomas Freeman age 11 born TN Sarah Freeman age 8 born AR (niece) Today, I am a very happy person. Things I already knew: John W (Wesley) Hunter grew up and married Laura Irene Williams. He and this brother Dora (Madora) who married Ida Offil?, moved to TX. John W and Laura died abt 1917 TX (possibly Morris Co) leaving my father and his siblings to be raised by Dora and Ida. I would love to have additional information if anyone has further info.
