Sarah, On a chart compiled by Thomas Harris in 1929 showing some descendants of Joshua Hunter b. 1709 m. Mary Conegenton, I have Benjamin B. Hunter b. 1805, grandson of Joshua and son of James Hunter b. 1767 d. 1831 and Martha Crowell. The children of Benjamin and Leah Nicholson were Mary m. Wm. Norman; Ellen m. Swain Norman; Samuel B. m. M. Brown, Ida Whitaker, and Mary J. Harris; Edward m. ? Wills; Sarah m. Ezra Bowers; Lillie m. Robt. Vinson. This was an Enfield N. C., Halifax County family. Children of Sarah (Sallie) are not listed. Some other surnames on the chart are Lewis, Bell, Bellamy, Godwin, Branch and Wyche. I do not have documentation for all of the chart but T. Harris notes that he used my father's family bible for names and dates to 1817. Unfortunately the bible disappeared after my fathers death. This does seem to be your family too and since Joshua Hunter was my 4g grandfather we may be cousins. Glad to share information. Ann
