    3. Do you think this hunter could be related to my grandfather James (Jim) Hunter. He lived in Arkansas till about 1908 and died some where in Oklahoma in 1910. He Married a Lizzie Dunlap who was born in Texas they had 6 kids and he had two from a previous marriage making a total of 8. My dad's name was Jess also. Just curious, don't know much about my dad's parents, his mother died giving birth, and what we know about his dad has been told to us by other people. Maybe there is a connection. 2. Can you tell me more about the 2 children your James had from his first marriage? I believe we have corresponded earlier, but (if so) you never told me if you had children's names or if you knew the name of the 1st wife. I am still looking for information for my James S. HUNTER who was living in Yell Co. AR in the 1880 Census. At that time he was married to a Malissie (Malissa?) and they had 4 children. We only know of 2 of those children that lived to adulthood. No information on the remaining 2 or what happened to James or Malissie. Ginger [email protected] >Do you think this hunter could be related to my grandfather James (Jim) >Hunter. 3. Carla, we do have information on 2 John Hunter's who fought in the Rev War. Neither are yours. Both John Hunter (senior) and John Hunter (junior) served. The former served in the VA Militia under CPT Abraham Lincoln. The later also served in the VA Militia. Our Hunter's traveled through (and lived for a very short time) in the Carolinas. John Hunter (senior) was married to Barbara Bowman (who out lived him). John Hunter (junior) was married to Elizabeth Osman. Those are our Rev War ancestors/relatives. My best guess is the Hunter line you are seeking is probably Scottish, not Swiss. Sorry, Jim Hunter > >Tuesday Morning > Hello, > My name is Clara Steele. One of Henry Hunter's sons was Frederick Bollinger Hunter. That alone pretty well establishes relationship for me. There is also some documentation in the Ausmus Book (however, there are some noted errors in the book). Jim Hunter, Utah

    3. Bill, I think the waters are muddy now. Let me see if I can restate. I have as the parents of Frederick Bollinger, Isaac Bollinger and Chatrina. The only siblings I have for Frederick are Mary Ann (wife of Samuel Weaver) and Barbara (wife of Henry Hunter). I have as (some of the) children of Frederick Bollinger and Elizabeth Weaver, Jacob Bollinger (husband of Hannah Jenkins), and Henry Hunter Bollinger (husband of Nancy Boatright). Do I understand you to say that Isaac also had a son Jacob? Or are you saying that Frederick Bollinger (born 1765) is the brother to Jacob Bollinger (born 1803)? (I have a death date for Isaac Bollinger, 1770.) I know you are aware that Chatrina married Phillip Ausmus after Isaac died. Are you referring to other Bollingers to which I am not aware? I am aware that Henry Hunter Bollinger also had a son, Henry Hunter Bollinger (born 1851). I must admit I am confused. 1. [HUNTER-L] Daniel LeeHunter
    2. I have recently received a copy of the Social Security Application for Daniel Lee Hunter, b. 23 May 1897. I had hoped he was connected to my grandfather, but, as far as I can tell, he isn't. I would be glad to send it to anyone who may be looking for this person. It is mostly handwritten and is very hard to read, but I will do my best in transcribing it. Some of the info. included is as follows: Daniel Lee Hunter SS# 458-28-5332 5831 Port Emanuel Houston, TX age: 43 date of birth: 23 May 1897 place of birth: Trinity Co., TX sex: m race: negro married Father's name: David Damon Hunter Mother's name: Ada Battels (?) occupation: farming date signed: 4-2-41 Hope someone makes this connection! 1. [HUNTER-L] (HUNTER-L) Forgot one source for Hunters
    2. The Hunters
    3. Sorry to deluge the list, but thought of one more invaluable source for those seeking 1700 Henry Hunter lines from Derry County, Ireland. I have not gotten this myself yet, but will someday. I've been told that the LDS Libraries can get a microfilm version of the book, 'The Hunter Family - The Generations of Henry Hunter', written by Reverend William M. Hunter. (Don't know when it was written, but certainly would be invaluable if you haven't seen it and think that's your line.) Joyce Hunter
