Sandy and List, I can vouch for many of Kate Cook's sources, since I have verified many (not all) of them. Neither she nor I have been able to confirm any parents for this Memican Hunt. In all likelihood he is related somehow to the Memucan Hunt who became Treasurer of North Carolina. As far as I know now, he was not closely related to my ancestor, Ambrose Hunt, who came to what was then Green Co., KY. The Memican Hunt above came to that part of Green Co. that remained Green when Taylor Co. was formed out of Green in 1848.
