I am seeking information regarding my 4G grandfather, John Hunt and his son (my 3G grandfather) Eli Milton Hunt. The information I have in hand is sketchy at the best - it source is from a biographical form that the Arkansas Historical Commission put out in 1911 for veterans of the Civil War. On his form Clement Montgomery Hunt stated that his father Eli Milton Hunt was born in Coweta County, Georgia and that his grandfather's name was John. However, C.M. Hunt did not fill out the blanks for John's birth date or birth place. Working back from the date of the birth of Eli's first child, I conclude that John may have been born circa 1780 and Eli around 1813. I do have the name of Eli's wife and four children if this jogs anyone's memory. All information sincerely appreciated. Charles D. Hunt
