This is my first posting to this list but have watched for many months I have a question regarding contents of Probate Minutes, these I understand are used when there is no will of record. I have a person who has no record of birth since the courthouse burn down in 1877!! He has no death record because the STATE CAN'T FIND ONE !! There is no estate proceedings for him naming his parents because he signed over his estate to a daughter before his death When his parents died there was a person appointed his legal guardian In probate of minutes, would it be normal that information about his parents and the person appointed as his guardian to appear in the same record or would it be in the same type of proceedings i e Probate Minutes but separate for the first ?
