All the information I have on Abraham Hunt came from his Rev War pension application. Abraham Hunt was born August 6, 1762 in Charles County, Maryland. He moved with his father John Hunt when he was 7 years old (1769) to Charlotte County, Virginia. He lived in Charlotte county until he was 17 years old (1779) and then moved to Wilkes County, North Carolina. After living in Wilkes for 16 years (1805) moved to Wayne County, Kentucky. Howell Hunt may have been a brother. He was also an Rev War veteran. His widow in 1852 stated Howell Hunt was b1752 and lived in Halifax County, Virginia until 1778 and moved to Wilkes County, North Carolina and died 1793. Also of interest is a Thomas Hunt a Rev War veteran was born 1747 in Charles County, Maryland. He moved to Halifax County, Virginia in 1780 and stayed there until 1810 when he moved to Tennessee. These Hunts moved and lived among the Hunt family living in Charlotte/Halifax/Pittsyvania that were descendants of Ralph Hunt. I personally feel that all the above plus a James Hunt another Rev War veteran which has been the subject discussion on this site recently are probably related.
