    3. Dear Alyce- I am about to give you ALL I know about Tabitha: Married 2nd, Thomas Tiller, in Pr. Edward Co., Va. on 16 Apr. 1791. (See misc. Wills, by Andrea II, pg 7). In James Hunt's pension application he states his mother's name was Ann and his father, Charles. NADA MAS on this Tabitha. I don't have ANDREA so I can't look it up. Bill Hunt in FAirport LI has a copy. Bill are you there????? *************************************************************** It is interesting to note that there is a TABITHA who married William Hunt, styled Captain,Mr., and Major. He was probably born and died in Charles City County VA. In 1694 Mrs. Ann Harris made two deeds of gift; One to the children of "my son, William Hunt" and one to MY TYLER GRANDCHILDREN (could this be TILLER?) William's father was William the BACONITE who we guess married the widow Ann Harris whose only proven child was William, below. On 1 April 1714 William Hunt II and his wife TABITHA(NSN-no surname) of Charles City County VA sold land etc. etc. I have this TABITHA's inventory and her children. There was also a TABITHA Minge 1741 unmarried, her grandaughter-mother Mary Hunt who married among others MINGE. There is a lot more but no sense typing it all unless this is the material you want. 3. Yes Sandy, I'm here, barely. I don't think I ever pursued the subject Tabitha. As I remember, some folks thought Tabitha who married Thomas Tiller was the widow of Charles Hunt who was the son of James Hunt Sr. and Sarah Whitlock. But I doubt it because that specific Charles made his Charlotte Co. Will 15 Oct. 1785, proved 1 Sept. 1788, and his widow Tabitha Hunt was granted cert. for obtaining probate in the same court session of 1 Sept. 1788. In James Hunt Sr.'s Charlotte Co. will of 1795 he devised one negro man Robert to Tabitha HUNT, widow of my son Charles...." All the above would seem to indicate, rather conclusively, that Charles' widow Tabitha was still Mrs. Hunt in 1795. Charles Hunt named 5 children in his 1785 will viz: JAMES, MARY ANN, SARAH, ELIZABETH, NANCY. He made it clear not all were of legal age. By 1795 Nancy had become Nancy Hunt Huntsman...etc. From long experience, everything by Andrea needs verification. He sometimes embedded personal conclusions in his typed presentations of material without identifying them as such & thereby disguising them which resulted in readers naturally assuming he read the information in recorded documents. At other times he made normal mistakes like all the rest of us when reading, writing, and thinking we are thinking! Sorry.
