I just found that Herbert Vincent HUNT, son of Robert Hunt and Epharetta XXXX, who gave a birthdate of 1 April 1866 and a birthplace of Brunswick, Maine when he was married in 1890 - was actually born on 1 April 1869 in Minnesota. I know this is the same guy because the parents are the same. The birth record (LDS-IGI) adds that Epharetta's surname was ROBERTS. Does anyone have any other information on this HERBERT VINCENT HUNT ? Herebert's nose must be as long as Pincocchio's, by now - but of course his parents may have told him he was born in Maine - what would he know???!!! About the age - he may not have wanted his bride to know that he was four years younger than she. I also learned that Epharetta ROBERTS married a Michael GINTY in Sagadahoc, Maine, in 1866. What tha ????? Then she went to MN and had Robert Hunt's baby in 1869, and then went back to Maine to live with Robert HUNT?! What happened to Michael GINTY? Or did Michael change his name to Robert HUNT? I'd appreciate help on this, if anyone has any insights into the situation or familiarity with these names. Many thanks!
