    1. Re: [HUNT] Ancestry.com from an unhappy costumer -- UPDATE AGAIN...
    2. Not that I really want to add yet another e-mail on a long chain, but since I appear to be the only dissenting input, consider this: Ancestry.com provides a very useful service in putting all this "shared" information in a single location, hosting in servers that keep that information -- as opposed to individuals who do it for so long and then quit or die, and the information along with them. And most importantly, provide a fully functional, context-based, search and indexing capability to find it. And I'm not sure who out there has "shared" JPEG images of every single image of the US census, or has "shared" full by-name indexes to entire post-1850s census free of charge. Both of these are provided in Ancestry, in addition to a host of databases that are not, in fact, the "shared" fruits of other people's labor. As a subscriber, I have gotten more than my money's worth. And I also received an e-mail reminder well in advance of the renewal date with an option to not have it done.
