Hi Allen Hunt; A kind lady named Patricia said your the guy that can help me. I have been hunting for my Mitchell roots for 25 or more years with little success. I have traced my family back to my Great Grandfather, Joseph Mitchell, who I believe was born in New York (Probable N. Y. City) 1824/1825 to unknown parents. Now I believe that DNA is my only hope to find more info on my Mitchell Family. Can you tell me the best place to be tested, the best type of test and what to do with the DNA info? I don't want to spend anymore than necessary but want to take the best shot I can as this will probably be my last try. Thank you for the help.
