I am looking for information on the William and Harriet (Morehouse) HUNT family that lived the area of Valparaiso, Porter Co., IN at the time of their daughter's birth (Phebe Jeanette HUNT) in December 1851. Phebe lists "Valproso, Indiana" as her place of birth when she filled out a Widow's pension application. By 1867 the family had moved on to the state of Wisconsin where Phebe was married. I do not find the family in the Indiana 1850 census under the name of William HUNT. Various later censuses indicate that her father, William HUNT, was b. MD, OH, or IN and her mother, Harriet MOREHOUSE, was b. OH or IN. I do not have dates on either William or Harriet, with an estimate that they were probably b.1801-1836 which would mean that Phebe was likely born between their 16th and 50th birthdays.
