I do not think I have ever written to this group. I will start with this long preamble. My Great grandfather died in a cotton gin accident in Indian Territorry his name was Arthur Francis Hunt born in 1855. Little was known about his family, our family thought he camefrom kentucky and he left because his father wanted him to be a preacher. I found him in Montgomery & Stewart County Tennessee .His father was John O Hunt who was born in Kentucky in about 1812. I believe John O married a Catherine Hust . His fathers or Grandfathers name was James he was listed in the 1850 census saying he was from South Carolina and born about 1765. Does any one know about this family. Is this James one of the South Carolina Hunts who are refered to often? I hope someone can help me Carol Sircoulomb.
