General Memucanfather also Memucan is believe to be Christopher Hunt brother. Since me and one other participant believe we decend from Christopher Hunt line it would be very interesting if someone from Memucan line would be tested to see where the result end up. As far as I have seen General Memucan line daughtered out. Hopefully there is a brother line to General Memucan Hunt who had a son. I looked into this quite awhile ago. There isn't anything in records of VA or NC or SC ever discovered to date to indicate Christopher Hunt (w/wife Caty Blassingame was brother of the Memucan Hunt (1729-1808) of VA and who moved his family to Granville Co. NC in 1762. The notion comes only from copying the 1982 IGI from LDS; but if one orders the source document referred to in the Index, it is nothing but a "list" without even one word of any research or documentation. This is still in existence because items in the IGI just remain there, proven or unproven, or even in gross error.
