Hi Sherry I will cut this short. The most common company is Family Tree DNA at www.ftdna.com you can do a surname search for Hunt then join hte project for discounted price. The other company is Relative Genetic at www.relativegenetic.com they also have a discount program within surname project. There are differences in number of marker result that can be research. While some Hunt line can be figured out by 12 marker it is much better to get a higher number of marker results. FTDNA offer 12/25/37/67 marker and all lower marker are upgradable from lower number of markers. I am sure Relative Genetic is upgradable also I believe at last time I checked their website they their highest marker package of 43 markers. I will say majority of people tested with FTDNA but I will live that up to the consumer.
