Surety: Wyatt HALEY, wit: John WYATT, cons: Reuben HUNT 1 Feb 1762, William ROBERTSON to Elizabeth HUNT Surety: Andrew WADE, Jr., wit: William WRIGHT 26 Jan 1789, John WIMBISH to Lucy HUNT Cons: Eli HUNT (no relationship given) 28 June 1796, Richard MARTIN to Mary HUNT Surety: David ALLEN, Cons: Mary gave her own consent 11 Aug 1788, Richard HALEY to Millycent HUNT Surety: Joseph E. HALEY, cons: signs her own consent as Millicent 22 Dec 1789, (Bond) John CREWS to Ruth HUNT Daughter of Ambrose HUNT, who consents Surety: Larkin COSLEY, wit: Iago DETH & Jon JOHNS Marr: 24 Dec 1789 by Rev James WATKINS 2 Mar 1791, George VASSER to Sally HUNT Daughter of Eli HUNT, who consents Surety: Elijah HUNT (is this Eli?) 25 Dec 1791 (bond), Henley SNEAD to Sarah HUNT Surety: James HUNT, cons: Benjamin HUNT (no relationship stated) Marr: 26 Dec 1791 by Rev. Thomas DOBSON Strangely, these marriages are all of HUNT women; no HUNT men listed at all. There MUST have been some HUNT men from Halifax Co., VA that married during this period.
