Carrol King wrote a letter on some Hunt families that were in MO. Counties that were mentioned in TN were Williamson, Maury, and Giles. I too am trying to connect these Hunt in MO to mine. Thomas A. Hunt and Sarah Davis(Lewis?). I have a book on Davidson Co. Tn. County Court Minutes-1792/1799, by Carol Wells. Davidson was one of the three orginial counties in TN. This area of TN belonged to NC and land was given to NC men who fought in the Revl. War from NC. This is why I think that these early Hunts come from NC and not KY. Williamson county was taken from Davidson county and Maury county is just below Williamson. Giles is just below Maury. These records are early enough to maybe establish the early generation of these Hunts in MO. I have done some research in these early counties for my Warren family and found that some of the early tax list show them in 2 different counties at the same time. And also some of the records show that the people were very upset and would not pay their taxes in one county because they had already paid in another. Here are some of the records from Davidson Co.
