"There is a 211 page abstraction of the "Vol 1 of the Maidenhead NJ Town Record Book," published and sold by the township in 1976. The original was microfilmed by Rutgers University in the 1950s. In 1963, two prints of it were obtained from Rutgers and one copy was given to the Trenton Free Public Library and the 2nd in the township Clerk's safe. In 1972, copies of the microfilm were donated to the Lawrence Public School System, Rider College, and the Lawrenceville School. The Lawrence Twp Historical Society's collections are, or were, housed in a separate room with the Mercer County Public Library, Rt. #1, Lawrenceville, NJ. They have a lot of original documents in their collection. Winona Nash, who was the backbone of the society (now deceased) was the one who was extending the title chain of property from the 1700s down to the present land ownership in the 1970-1980s period. They also produced a "Bicentennial Map" of the land ownership from her project and then a guide to go with it in 1977. I don't know where you would find any of this other than at the Lawrenceville Historical Society as they are/were scarce" Anonymous but true. Sandy Lubbock . -------------------------
