Dear List I would like to introduce myself to the list and seek thier help. My name is Ed Hunt Jr., age 13 and in the 7th. grade. I live in East TN. and I am the 5th Great Grandson of Esli Hunt, born January 10, 1759 in Bedford Va. I have been studying and prepareing an on going paper on the "Hunt 14" families since I was in the 5th grade. My dad came to our school and gave a lesson on how to trace your family. For about a year I have been collecting as much information just on Esli's family as I can find. Mr. William Hunt has sent my dad a great deal of information on Esli and his Rev. war papers that has been really valuable to me in my endeavor. Now I am in hope that some of the descendants of Esli Hunt, or any of his brother's and sisters or thier descendants would be willing to share any stories, pictures, old cooking tips, ways of living in thier times, or anything that they would be willing to share of thier families. It would be nice to have a copy of documentation if possible to show my sources. My school and some of the boosters have given me a small grant to work on this project in exchange for me helping to teach family tracing in 2 classes a week. I do not plan now or in the future to place any of the information I recieve on the "Web", and I will gladly give credit to any and all who can find time to help me with this project. All information recieved on "LIVING Relatives" will be noted as Living and the full names will not be put in the papers I'm working on. This project means a great deal to me and I hope to keep cont. it at least through High school and on into my college years. I really got inspired deeply by the papers that Mr. William Hunt of New York sent my dad. My class thought they were so neat that you could find real signatures on Rev. Pension Papers. Like I said I've only been working on this a couple years using the work my dad has recieved from many people including Ms. Gourdin and Ms. Miller and others to numurous to name. I am willing to share all information if the donor gives me permission to do so. I want to thank everyone in advance for any help they can provide me.
