Hello Listers Hoping to find someone who connects with my family of HUNTs Firstly - Joseph Hunt who was born 6 June 1853 in Walcot Bath, the son of William Hunt and Hannah Rufo Howell nee Sloper. He married Annie Elizabeth Mealing nee Fews on 30 June 1873 in Widcombe Somerset. They moved to Cumberland St Bristol where he ran the Bristol Shorthand Institute. They had three children, Caroline Amelia Fews , Ethel Jane Russnell and Arnold James. By 1901 Joseph had left Annie (rumour has it that he had a young lady pregnant) and is lodging at Myrtle Villa, Mayfield Park, Fishponds, Bristol. If Joseph did have any other family I would love to trace them. So please get in touch if you know anything of this man. Secondly Joseph's father William, born 1810, was a widower when he married Hannah Howell on 27 Sep 1849 in St Swithins Walcot. They had 4 children as far as I know - William born 1851, Joseph born 1853, George born 1864 and Emily born 1861. All were baptised at St Swithins Walcot Bath I have not yet traced William's first marriage. William was a bookbinder and was the son of John Hunt 1802-65 and Grace Hunt died 1831 If anyone can add to this I'll be over the moon. Thanks Mary Armitage
