A cousin sent me some old obituary articles from the Mt. Carmel Illinois, Wabash County area. I am going to post them here in hopes that someone out there might just link up with our family. Hunt Funeral held at Asbury Sept 17,1921 funeral services were held this afternoon for Charles Hunt, who died Monday as the result of being kicked by a mule at his home northwest of this city on the old Tanquary farm. Funeral services were at 2:30O'clock at the First Methodist Church. He was the youngest son of the late George and Lucy (Leet )Hunt and was born Sept.23,1863 in the Ogden locality. While quite a young man he was untied in marriage to Miss Mary E. Carter to which union seven children were born all of whom survive along with the loving wife. The children are Mrs. Marshall Stover, Mrs. George Goodart, and Ogle Hunt of near Lawrenceville, Harley Hunt of Patton, Mrs. John Ishum of near Friendsville, and Mildred Melvin at home with their mother. He has two sisters, Mrs. Mary Dyer of Mt Carmel, and Mrs. Hester Ruell of St. Louis, and two brothers, Danial L. of sullivan Indiana, and David H. of Granite City Il who with numerous other relatives were left to mourn his loss.
