    3. I believe the #2 below Rev Lewis Wilson Hunt was born 1762 rather than 1769. I also believe he was the son of the John Sr Hunt who moved his family from VA to eastern TN and then on to what became Bath & Fleming counties of KY. See http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=wandaturner&id=I211 as an example of commonly held beliefs about this line. 3. Hello Mac Main, Yes, I think we are talking about the same guy. He married Mary OVERALL in about 1761 in either Maryland or Virginia, according to my information, and later married a lady named Ester HARPER. Here are the NOTES I carry for Lewis Wilson Hunt, Rev. QUOTE !Some sources say John Sr. had 15 children. *Children listed as heirs in Bill #286 Bourbon Co., Ky. circuit Court filed 30 Oct. 1810 by John Sr.'s heirs. Info. provided by: Mary L. Smith, 18831 Ansley Pl., Saratoga, Ca., 95070. Mary believes John Sr. came down from Washington Co., Va., into Green, Washington & Sullivan Counties of TN.; later moved to Kentucky. Mary thinks Abraham Hunt in Green Co., TN, may have been a son. Mary has further generations down from Rev. Reuben Hunt. Trudy Hunt Smith, 4755 Clinton Ave., Kalamath Falls, Or. 97603, also descends from this sline and some of this info. is from her. Trudy states his name is John Tipton Hunt Sr. and he was a Chaplain in the Va. 6th Reg't. in the Revolutionary War and that his father, also, was a john Tipton Hunt. I have given this John's (#127) father and grandfather as she has given it to me, but the mother, a Miss Fardenan, seems rather confusing, with the Grandmother being a Miss "Fernandes". I rather doubt this part of the lineage! UNQUOTE Another thing. I have family information on each of John Hunt Sr's children except for the Rev. John Wilson. Also, John Hunt SR. had a child, Dradena HUNT, that was born in 1772 in Virginia. John Sr's last child with Mary OVERALL was the Rev. Absolom HUNT, b 1773, in Frederick Cty., VA. Rev. Absolom married Hester "Ester" FOSTER on 20 March 1793 in Bourbon Cty., KY. Sooooo, it appears that John Hunt Sr. had taken his family to Tennessee and then on to Kentucky arriving sometime before 1793, prior to Absolom's marriage to Hester. Now, how does all this correlate with what you and others may have on this family????? Allen D.
