Hello to the List once again, I am Allen Duane Hunt and currently live in Fountain Hills, Arizona. I was born and raised in Ackerman, Mississippi. My relatives, on my HUNT side, go back through a Hunt Line which we call "The 14", all the way back to one of "The 14" siblings, Esli Hunt, born 10 January 1759, in Bedford County, Virginia. Esli was married in about 1783, in Chester District, SC (at the age of 24), to Nancy LACY. It is through this marriage that my ancestors came to be. By the way, Nancy passed away in 1797, in Greenville, SC. After this, Esli was married to Agnes COCHRAN in about 1800, who passed away in 1808. After this, Esli was married to Tama MOSELEY in about 1809. Again, my ancestors were: Allen D. Hunt, b 1936, Ackerman, MS [myself] Allen F. Hunt, b 1911, Sturgis, MS [my father] Herman Hunt, b 1889, Sturgis, MS [my grandfather] Thomas Sumpter W. [TSW] Hunt, b 1858, Louisville, MS [ my great-grandfather] George McDuffee Hunt, b 1836, SC [my great-great-grandfather William Lacy Hunt, b 1792, SC [my great-great-great-grandfather] Esli Hunt, b 1759, VA [ my great-great-great-great-grandfather] NOTE 1: William Lacy Hunt passed away on 21 August 1836, in Greenville, Greenville County, SC, at the age of 44. William's wife, Keziah McCLANAHAN Hunt, left SC with her children and came to MS. NOTE 2: William and Keziah's children were: a. Esley "Esli" "Estly" Marion Hunt (b 1816), b. Julia Ann Hunt (b 1819), c. Rosa Ann Hunt (b 1827), d. William Pilate "Pilot" "Pilat" Hunt (b 1828), e. John Robert Hunt (b 1831), f. George McDuffie Hunt (b. 1833), g. Keziah Jane Hunt (b 1835) and h. Orpha "Alpha" Hunt (b ????). NOTE 3: Of their children, I have some information on all of the kids except Keziah Jane and Orpha.
