7/2/99 Sandy, Dean, and list: While it is true there is a lot of misinformation on the LDS files, they are a great starting place, after all your own family information is exhausted. I ALWAYS contact the submitter. Found a cousin who had submitted my Hunt line starting with John in 1798, and she had errors, too. I contacted her, in Alaska, and we sorted out the truth between us. It helped both of us. I should make corrections at LDS so no one else will perpetuate the errors. Sometimes the submitter has moved, died, or otherwise cannot be found but most of the time they are available. I think there is a lot of misinformation anywhere, but LDS files have more going for them than against them, as a source of clues. Pat
