You ask if Richardson Hunt b Sept 2, 1762 d-January 3, 1818 was related to Charles Richardson Hunt. The answer is yes he was his uncle. Richardson Hunt was the son of Elijah Hunt Senior and Charles Richardson Hunt was the son of Elijah Hunt Junior (a brother of Richardson Hunt). Richardson Hunt moved to Elbert County, Georgia about 1790 with his father-in-law a Mr. Carter. He was left 165 acres of land in his father's north of the Staunton River which would make it in Charlotte County provided he pay back to the estate eighty pounds eleven shilling. This was apparently was did since with his brother and sister in 1797 purchased 483 acres adjoining Patrick Henry's Red Hill. They held the property for 15 years and sold it to William McGraw who may have been their cousin since they had an uncle named James McGraw. Richardson Hunt was away from home in 1793 when his father Elijah Hunt Senior wrote his will. He was also left by his father surveying instruments, slaves and furniture. Charles Richardson Hunt was the son of Elijah Hunt Junior. Charles Richardson Hunt was left by his father brother William Hartwell Hunt that portion of his father plantation he had inherited. from his father Elijah Hunt senior.
