    3. Hello fellow "Hunters", Sandy Hunt tells us that the Hunt List now has a subscription base of 400+. If this is true, and I think that it certainly is, there are many of you out there who are lurking and not posting your material - Nothing ventured, nothing gained. If you are one of these "lurkers" and if you have either a NJ or NY Hunt line (or think that you might), please email us directly. We have a large amount of material for these states, and stand a reasonable chance of helping you. Our NY material is primarily from Southeast NY State - about 80% from Westchester County, New York City proper - including early Harlem (We have Towler's complete "Harlem Register"), and Long Island, with the balance in the other NY Counties. Our NJ material represents virtually all Counties, but it is especially strong for Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, and Burlington. NJ/NY mix is about 60/40%. Our data is about 40% from "primary" type sources, representing over 80 years of combined research by our families. About 65% is pre-1850. Family breakdown is roughly 45% Ralph Hunt of Long Island line, 35% Thomas and Cecelia Hunt of Westchester, NY line, 20% other NJ and NY Hunt families. (%'s from my husband - probably accurate - but I do not have a clue) We are not the only resource available to you on the Hunt List - - - not by far!!! I understand that our current subscriber base includes many other very dedicated, experienced, and in some cases professional or professional quality genealogists who will go out of their way to assist you. Perhaps some of those with other regional expertise will step forward with a similar offer. Special offer: We will examine your information and assist you in developing an email to be posted direct to the Hunt List so that all 400+ of our subscribers can review and have an opportunity to respond to your request (this if you are shy). We will, of course, look through your data and determine if we have any information in our files that will extend your lines. A subsequent Hunt List posting is an ABSOLUTE requirement of this offer - NO exceptions, but we will do so under our email address if you wish to remain anonymous. One comment to ALL Hunt List subscribers (MY OPINION ONLY). If a new member posts and excludes some important data from their inquiry, feel free to mention this to them. But PLEASE, do it "off-List" via private email. We need not embarrass them. Hope to help. Write if you wish. Pam jsc@i2020.net
