All of these messages brings up another interesting twist I found when reviewing the lineage described at the end of this thread and the information I have which is as follows: James Hunt was born in 1703/1704 in Hanover County, VA and died in 1795 in Charlotte County, VA. His will was prbated on 9/7/1795. He was married 1st to Sarah Pitt and 2nd to Mary Gilbert b. 1712 d. 1789 d/o Nathan Gilbert The children listed are as follows: 1. John Christopher 2. Charles b. 1724 md Tabitha ? 3. Nathaniel b. 1726 4. Elijah b.1728 md Sarah ? 5. James b. 1729 6. John Gilbertus b.1731 d. 1805 md Sarah Robinson, 7. Mary md Wm McGraw 8. Sarah md Thomas Craighead, 9. Nancy md John Huntsman, 10. David b. 1745 d. 2/14/1826 md Nancy Richardson As you can see most of the children and dates match or are quite close. Has anyone else run across this or do you have any opinions about this discrepancy. This is important to me from the standpoint that John Gilbertus is part of my direct line back to James Hunt b. 1704. Perhaps some of the records were lost that pertained to John Gilbertus.
