Crowder, I.T. for John Hunt, Roll # I.W. 976 that was first rejected and then admitted by the Dawes Commission . the information follows: #I.W. 976 Hunt, John age 48 (in 1896) Male; Blood I.W.; year 1896; County Jackson, Enrollment #14644; Name of father, Andrew Hunt, dead, Country: non'citizen; Name of mother: Polly Hunt, dead, non citizen. There is an 'approved' stamp dated Sep 22 1904 and a handwritten note as follows: " Take no further action relative to enrollment of #1 (John Hunt) Protest by atty for Choctaw and Chickasaw nations Jan 25 '04. Protest overrruled Mar 31, 1904 by Dept. Admitted by Dawes Commission Case #192 on 1896 Roll Jno Hunt. For child of #1 see NB (Apr 26-06) #1117.
