    2. Hi everyone I have just discovered your list and as I am trying to trace my fathers mother's family farther back than her parents I thought I would see if anyone could help me with this project. To this end the following is what I know about them. Frederick Hunt b) ca 1844 in Horsham, Sussex, England, he married Maria Oakes b) ca 1844 in Bungay, Suffolk, England. According to the Census of 1881 they had the following children birth years interpolated by the age given in the census. Alfred b) abt 1870, in Kettering, Northhamptonshire Kate (Catherine) b) 6 Mar 1872, Croydon, Surrey, England d) 21 Mar 1939 in N. Quincy MA. m) 1898 John T. Harris, ch) Benjamin Frederick b) 1899, Robert Harris b) 1905 and Walter Harris. John T. Harris died in 1917 and she married George E. McMahon sometime after 1917. Alice b) abt 1875 Croydon, Surrey Walter b) abt 1877 in Hemel Hemstead, Hertfordshire d) late 50's or early 60's I know he was alive in 1956. Charles b) abt 1878 in Croydon, Surrey Herbert b) abt 1881 Croydon, Surrey Eva Hunt b) 17 Dec 1883 in Croydon, Surrey, d) 10 Mar 1964 in Malden MA Lucia May b) 5 May 1886 in England, d) 11 May 1976 in Boston, Suffolk Co. MA there is also a Frank Hunt b) ca 1900-1910 who married a lady named Minnie __?__ I don't know when I do know he was my fathers 1st cousin and that they lived at 19 Newlands Close in Hassocks near Brighton from at least the early 60's to the mid 70's when they moved to Eastbourne I'm not sure when they died but I assume at Least Minnie died in the late 70's because we My Mother and I corresponded with them and the letters stopped in the late 70's (Minnie did the writing) I have several of her letters. and I also have a photo of them as I visited them in England twice once in 1965 and in 1970. What I would like to know is anything that anyone knows of this family, in either direction. I know nothing of the family that stayed in England. I do have further information on the 4 that came to the U.S. Information that Frank told me was that someone in his family had the family traced all the way back to the time of the Normans. As I really wasn't that interested in Genealogy at the time I never followed thru by asking who had it, or how to get a copy of it. Now I'm sorry I never asked. Someone might give me an Idea of where to look for information on these people as I may be coming to London sometime this year. Trish Harris Trish2866@AOL.com
