Thanks for the replies to my query. I have no idea where G.G. Hunt was born. I only know that his two sons were born in MS while he was married to Temperance M. _______ in 1852-aobut 1856. When the father G.G. Hunt died, Temperance remarried to a Gentry and moved to Louisiana in Rapides Parish near Alexandria, LA before 1890. After a bloody shooting in the area in a Hunt-Gentry feud , the crew moved to TX by1900 US Census. Once the Hunt and Gentrys moved to TX, they settled in Lufkin TX area in Angelina Co. Family oral history says the one Hunt son, John J. Hunt(b. 1854) in MS served in the closing day of the War Between the States as a bugler, but I have found no documentation for this so far. John J. Hunt's youngest son is believed to have been born in Jackson, MS on Oct. 23,1886 although his burial certificate says LA. Barb in Baltimore
